PSYCHO-EDUCATIONAL EVALUATIONS
Psychoeducational evaluations focus on present challenges that a student may be experiencing. They examine specific cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral factors that inform how a child performs in school. Because of its focused and tailored approach, testing time will be efficient and purposeful. Evaluations are available for students ranging from ages preschool age up to 22 years old. These evaluations include: independent educational evaluations (IEE) for school districts and evaluations for students with learning disabilities. I can also conduct Bilingual Testing in Vietnamese. Families utilizing educational evaluations have used them to support receiving additional support from IEP teams and independent school placement. I also enjoy teaching children how they may best learn through testing.

COUNSELING
The counseling and testing frameworks that I use involve harnessing social justice, strengths-base, and humor. For counseling, I like to do a mixture of narrative and story-telling therapy, meditation, cognitive behavioral therapy, courage-building, and play therapy. I have worked with students who have anxiety, ADHD, depression, PTSD. I have also worked with children of color and minorities and the challenges that they may face. When working with children, I take into consideration their developmental stage, their background, and their unique social-emotional needs. With younger children, I believe that games can help them learn more about themselves through a fun and meaningful medium.
